Things you need to know about BRASIL -- Part 1

A little guide for who wants to travel to the next World Cup country ;)

- Brazilians don't speak or spoke Spanish ever!!! Brazilians always spoke and speak Portuguese, and they hate when anyone thinks they speak Spanish. ;)

- Brazil in Portuguese is Brasil with "s", so never correct a Brazilian or anyone then they write "Brasil" or will feel embarrassed. ;)

- Brazil is suuuuper diferent of others South American countries. We don't have Spanish culture or South American culture. It's not prejudice, but the history and habits of here are very diferent.

- The capital of Brazil isn't Rio de Janeiro (ok, they understand this mistake, calm) or Buenos Aires (nonsense, impossible understand the last). The capital of Brazil is Brasília and there isn't any beach there hehe.

- Brazilian hope you know the first and the fourth item above, because they study geography at school and know these things of the other countries. And is not polite a person doesn't anything about a country that he or she is visiting, right? Brazilians are really tired of people who don't know anything about their country.

- All Brazilian women use short clothes, right? Wrong again, the TV deceived you. Some (I said "some", no all) girls from favelas/shantytown use clothes very short, but, they are minority. Actually the European girls use clothes shortest than the Brazilians.

- Brazilians don't use swimwear on street. Swimwear is only for beaches or swimming pool. Foreigners usually use swimwear on streets here, and the Brazilians think it funny.

- Brazilians smile a lot, and laugh a lot too. Please, don't think they are laughing at you. A smile is a way of being nice, kind, pleasing, polite. A serious face here isn't so polite (but the smile ends if you say that they speak Spanish :P)
