- Although Brazil is the biggest winner of the FIFA World Cup (5 titles), when the country hosted a World Cup in 1950, Uruguay was the champion.
- Brazil has the fastest growing fleet of helicopters in the world. The helicopter traffic in Sao Paulo is the third largest in the world.
- The Portuguese is the sixth most spoken language in the world. More than 235 million people speak the language and 201 milion are in Brazil.
- In the Amazon river, 1,500 species of fish have been discovered, but it is estimated at least double living there. This is more than six times every fish species found in the rivers of Europe.
- The water lily victoria amazonica, a symbol of the Amazon, is the largest water flower in the world, can measure 2.5 meters in diameter.
- Brazil has the largest tropical florest of the world. But there isn't any wild animal on cities (I know some foreigners believe in these crazy things hehe).
- Brazil received a millions of European, Arabs and Asian immigrants until the II World War and they had a lot of influency at Brazilian habits. Now the immigration policy is more limited and isn't so easy to get a visa to work here.

- In Brazil you can find food from a lot of countries in any big city. The most popular Brazilian food is "rice with beans" + some kind of meat (beef, chiken, fish). This is the "every day food". However I think the majority of Brazilians think it's from here, but rice is from Asia and probaly the Portugueses passed the habit of to eat beans.
